A crypt floor carved with a coiled serpent. Only its body is safe to walk.
The floor of the crypt's antechamber is a grid of worn flagstones, some carved with scales. The carvings are faint, and not every scaled stone is the serpent's. A verse on the far door tells mourners how to reach their dead without waking the crypt.
Grit trickles from the ceiling as the first flagstone settles.
