LS1 Live sessions
Keep the party, combat, references and session log within reach. Record only with the table’s consent, then review an editable recap grounded in what happened.
LS2 At the table
Help in the moment. Memory after it.
The live system is designed to support a human-run game. Recording, transcription and AI assistance remain optional.
- Capture with an explicit boundary
- Recording starts only after participant consent, stays private, and can be deleted independently of the campaign.
- References as they become relevant
- Live Assist can surface matching rules and campaign entries from recent speech without taking actions on the GM’s behalf.
- The campaign within reach
- Open characters, encounters, rules, notes and the tabletop from the session instead of rebuilding context in a separate companion.
- A draft, never the final word
- Generate a recap from transcripts, log entries and notes, edit it, then choose when it becomes a shared campaign note.
LS3 Capture
Wherever the table meets.
-
Round the table
Turn on Live transcription and this browser’s mic follows the room. Everyone at the table consents before it starts.
-
On Discord
Run /session start in the voice channel. Each speaker is labelled as they talk.
-
In a campaign call
Every campaign has its own voice calls. Recordings from the call get speaker labels after the session.
LS4 After the session
The night becomes the story.
- Generate a recap from transcripts, log entries and notes.
- Edit it, then choose when it becomes a shared campaign note.
- Make a short read-aloud version to open the next session.
- Recordings stay private and can be deleted on their own, without touching the campaign.
LS5 Compare live companions
Different tools remember different parts of the night.
ThreadFall leads on live speaker-labelled capture and automatic campaign memory. Bookwyrm keeps stronger rules, combat and VTT context around the session, while leaving publication under the GM's control.
